Ring Meaning

  

The College Seal, adopted from the seal of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, forms the top of the ring.

The Cross, the instrument of salvation, is the principal symbol of the seal.

The two Anchors are crossed to form the Greek letter Chi, the monogram of Christ, and the source of the Virtue of Hope.

The Fleur-de-Lys, the French lily, represent the French origin of the Sisters of the Holy Cross.

Spes Unica “Only Hope” refers to the Cross of Christ.

The Open Book Symbolizes Christian Education.

Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.
